“Such a vital message in our world today.”

“I saw Tana speak at this year’s LoveBiz International Woman’s Day Event in Birmingham and was blown away by her honesty and powerful message. She spoke about her own struggles and fears of invisibility and finding her voice but this was not in any way self-indulgent, It was a simple statement to make us, her audience, ask those important questions of ourselves.”

“Challenging the stigmas that surround this deep and often traumatic area is Tana's forte and she works tirelessly to enable others to face up to their issues.”

“Her profound experiences and dynamic approach enable her to get to the heart of the very difficult issues we have to address in the modern world.”

“She captivates the audience and engenders trust through her passionate, honest and no-holds-barred recollection of her personal experiences.”

“I think Tana’s way of presenting mental wellbeing was incredibly moving and this helped to engage everyone and open our eyes to the real issues surrounding mental health.”

“I heard you speak on International Women's Day and all I can say is Wow!!!  From the moment you began to speak I was hanging onto your every word.  You spoke with so much passion and it came right from your heart.”

“Tana’s level of involvement, expertise, charisma, respect, and above all, honesty was exceptional.”

“In sharing your story, your vulnerability, in such an open and authentic way made it possible for me to take a step back and look at my story too. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, I cannot wait to hear you speak again.”

“Everything was amazing: the way the session was organised, the way Tana delivered it and the fact that it was very engaging. Absolutely wonderful experience.”

“Such an important talk! Reflecting on my childhood and now my parenthood…this is resonating on 100 levels.”

“Tana’s vulnerability made it possible for people to share their experiences and the tips on self-help actions for improved wellbeing, were really powerful.”

“I had the honour of hearing Tana speak as the Keynote Speaker at the MakeSense annual dinner. She was asked to present about her company, ClearMinds, the work she does and her journey to arrive where she is at now. It was a highly inspiring speech as Tana seemingly easily conveyed both the struggles and passions of her personal experiences with regard to mental health and children. She delivered her presentation with honesty and authenticity, not shying away from the difficulties: by bringing in personal stories and anecdotes from her work she helped us all really understand the realities of the world she works in and the lives she touches.”

“Tana’s speech was exceptional! A very helpful session for changing the way you think and understanding the power of the brain. So good to understand why and how we develop mental health problems. Definitely love to have more sessions like this one.”

J Kazi, Undermaster at Westminster School

“Tana is an inspirational woman who has used her profound life experiences to empower others through the use of mental resilience strategies.  We have worked closely on a variety of emotional and mental health and wellbeing issues, and I can thoroughly recommend Tana for her honest, direct approach and ability to connect with people of all ages and diversity.  Challenging the stigmas that surround this deep and often traumatic area is Tana's forte and she works tirelessly to enable others to face up to their issues.”

Headmaster St Hilda’s Prep, Harpenden

“Tana is an exceptionally gifted communicator. She has worked in a wide range of contexts, from human resources, marketing and education so is able to draw on a wide range of experiences in order to engage with young people. Pupils, parents, and colleagues are able to identify with her very quickly and to be enthused by what she has to say and how she says it.   Charterhouse was fortunate that Tana was able to come to visit for a few days earlier this year. She started the visit with a two-hour long introduction to parents which explained clearly and powerfully the many challenges that young people have to face and also shared ideas and approaches that parent could deploy with their own children as they help them to address those issues.   Tana delivered talks and sessions for all of our year groups from Year 9 to Year 13. The Head of PSHE reports that: “Pupils were kept engaged and learned more about how to talk about Mental Health from Tana’s personal experience and the things she has learned along the way by working with young people for her whole career. She was able to get pupils who were struggling with their own mental health to open up and reach out as well as educate those who hopefully will only ever have a role supporting other people who encounter struggles along the way.”   Pupils were hugely enthusiastic about her presentations which were carefully tailored to the different genders and the different year groups. A number of pupils have since been in touch with Tana to follow up with her individually.

James Kazi, former Deputy Head of Charterhouse School, (now Undermaster at Westminster School)

"Tana has a brilliant and unique talent at connecting with teenagers which seems to come as second nature to her. She creates an atmosphere of ease and unconditional support. Her talent of supporting youth derives from her years of experience and undoubtedly she has encountered almost every issue we as teens may experience.  Aside from these capabilities at understanding people on a very human level, she is also able to respond to a situation pragmatically. Her solution-oriented outlook and view allows teenagers to feel confident in investing trust and responsibility to her." Josie B. 18 yrs old “Tana led a very powerful INSET session to all the staff team, sharing much of her personal journey and giving a huge variety of positive ideas to us.  We were able to express our own feelings and address personal issues along the way, which I found to be a cathartic and healing experience.”

“Tana’s profound experiences and dynamic approach enable her to get to the heart of the very difficult issues we have to address in the modern world, and I am truly grateful for the work she has done with us.”

Housemaster, Malvern College

“Tana’s mental health presentation made our pupils sit up and listen!”

“She captivates the audience and engenders trust through her passionate, honest, and no-holds-barred recollection of her personal experiences. This gained the pupils' trust and as a consequence, many of them felt able to talk to her personally after the talk, or email her, expressing their concerns about their own mental health issues. As a result of this, pupils opened up more and we became aware of those pupils who seemed to be functioning well but who were 'presenting a face to the world’. This has enabled us to seek appropriate help for them in the early stages of their problem.”

Head of Psychology, Malvern College

“Many thanks for the wonderful, thought-provoking talks today. The girls in the House are all saying very positive things about it and about how inspiring you are – I think it helped many realise that keeping things quiet is maladaptive behaviour.”

“Tana’s personal stories resonated with our students and her approach to the workshop combined storytelling and practical advice that our students felt reassured hearing.”

“The presentation on Friday was hugely successful, informative and very helpful to us as the pastoral team. I had many positive comments on Friday and indeed, staff were still talking about it in detail yesterday. Thank you very much.” Deputy Head, Queenswood. “As a parent at the school, I attended the Mental Health Talk you gave yesterday and felt compelled to contact you to thank you so much for such an informative and insightful talk. I found it riveting and could have sat there much longer!”

“Thank you for being so honest about your own struggles. That was very powerful, and you put into words so articulately a few things I have previously felt. I confess I had to suppress a tear or two. It is fantastic what you are doing, and after an unfulfilling career in the City before raising my children, I have long contemplated retraining as a counsellor. I am now going to investigate that as a real option!”

“Today you came to give a lecture on mental health. I walked into the room thinking it was just going to be another information lecture with the same facts and comments. Upon leaving the room, I felt enlightened, and I felt lifted. In that short period of time, I feel you’ve made a permanent change in my life.”

“I don't think you would remember but about a year ago you gave a talk at my school, and it got me thinking about mental health issues. I reached out to you, and you helped me a lot to realise what was going on. Well, it has been about a year since then and in this last year I got help - I've moved house in school, I've been seeing a psychotherapist and soon am going to see a CBT specialist. It has been a long year and I have been through a lot. I was diagnosed with a form of anxiety and depression, and I am happier every day since telling someone. I just wanted to say thank you. You helped me a lot - more than you will ever know, and your talk helped open my eyes to everything.”

I really want to thank you, you gave me the courage to do something I had to do a long time ago.”
