I definitely didn't get here overnight...
Tana founded ClearMinds Education in 2014 to combat the alarming rise in mental health issues she witnessed in the pupils with whom she worked through her twenty-five-year career as a teacher, assistant Head, and housemistress.
Tana, now a speaker, mental health advocate and schools’ mental health consultant delivers INSET training for teachers and workshops for parents and pupils in junior and senior schools across the UK.
She has a private practice as a child and adolescent trauma therapist and transformation coach and is an accredited luminary with the Big Talk Academy.
Tana is an example of resilience and a catalyst for mental wellness in education and the workplace. With a backstory marked by personal triumph over childhood loss, emotional abuse and breakdown, Tana has transformed adversity into advocacy.
She believes the solution to the global mental health crisis lies in the hands of all who parent, educate and care for children from conception onwards.
Her mission now?
Putting the focus firmly on PREVENTION by fostering a deep understanding of the root causes of mental health problems and delivering a powerful toolkit of preventative measures for schools, parents and in the workplace.
Tana's insights, unique methodology and training through her Monkey Wisdom programme are sought after by diverse organisations. She's the go-to expert for junior and senior schools, higher education establishments, mental health conferences and wellness initiatives. Her talks dissect behavioural patterns, cognitive function within mental health contexts and unpack layers of the mind, guiding her audience to a more profound comprehension of how to initiate positive change within themselves and the children in their care.
Tana's compelling storytelling, drawn from three decades of intensive research and personal experience has not only shaped her approach but transformed the lives of children, their parents and teachers. Inspired by her mother's silent world, Tana became a master storyteller, using narratives to illuminate and solve problems. She is a visionary who sees beyond the surface, offering creative solutions to complex issues.
Tana's impact is profound – leaving audiences with a nuanced understanding of human functionality. Conference attendees will leave equipped with actionable insights to revolutionise their approach to mental health, bolster positive emotional wellbeing in themselves and their pupils, and create sustainable mental wellbeing programmes for the school.
